I've been told by many that I need to take lots of belly pictures... so here's the baseline picture!
Not too much to show... I'm only about 6 weeks pregnant right now. And according to http://www.babycenter.com/6_your-pregnancy-6-weeks_1095.bc , baby is about the size of a lentil bean! [Which shouldn't account for the number of pairs of my pants that are already too tight to be comfortable...hmmm]
But otherwise, I am still feeling great! Still no morning sickness & I hope it stays that way. I've been dreading that part. I almost feel like some nausea monster might be hiding behind every corner, just waiting to pounce. Hopefully I can keep avoiding him!
As Josh and I embark on the adventure of parenthood, we wanted to be able to share it all with our family and friends!

And so it begins...
After school on Thursday, 10/14/2010, here is what I see!
I must have stared at it for 2 minutes, sure that it would change. And then the simultaneous excitement and nervousness sets in. I could hardly believe that it finally happened! The next thing I do is figure out when I should be due (why wait for a doctor's appointment for simple math, right?) and discover that we will be meeting the newest member of our family in mid-late June. So exciting!!!
Now I set up how I'm going to tell Josh. It's a plan I actually came up with in July, the one other month when we both had a really good feeling I might be pregnant (turned out to be a false alarm). But anyway, I bought a little baby toy and set it up on the kitchen counter with a little message for Josh to find:
It was so hard to wait for Josh to come home, but the look on his face was priceless. =) We immediately called both of our parents to share the incredible news.
I'm feeling really good right now - no morning sickness, and just a little more tired than normal. Nothing that a little nap now and then can't fix! But even this early in, there are already some pants that are a bit too tight...yikes!
And so it begins.
